Brief Description
Deep groove ball bearing is the most common type in rolling bearings with very wide applications. Its basic components are an outer ring, an inner ring, a set of bearing balls and a couple of cages.
Working Principle
It mainly bears radial load, but also bears radial load and axial load. When there is only radial load the contact angle is zero. When it has a larger radial clearance, the performance with angular contact bearings can bear large axial load, deep groove ball bearing friction coefficient is small, and limit speed is high.
Bearing Structure
The deep groove ball bearing structure is comparably simple, and it’s easy to reach high manufacturing precision compared with other types of bearings. So it’s easily put into mass production, and with lower manufacturing cost. The usage of is also extremely common. In addition to basic type deep groove ball bearings, there are a variety of structural variants, such as: with dust shielded cover, with rubber sealed ring and double-rows deep groove ball bearings, and so on.
Its Types
In addition to the types classified by bearing structure mentioned above, they also can be classified into below several types in according to their sizes:
(1) Miniature Bearing ---- nominal diameter ranges below 26mm or less
(2) Small Bearing ---- nominal diameter ranges from 28 to 55mm
(3) Small and Medium-Sized Bearing ---- nominal diameter ranges from 60 to 115mm
(4) Medium and Large-Sized Bearing ---- nominal diameter ranges from 120 to 190mm
(5) Large Bearing ---- nominal diameter ranges from 200 to 430mm
(6) Extra Large Bearing ---- nominal diameter ranges from 440mm or above
