AISI update on Raw Steel Production in US in Week47-The 20th China(Guangzhou) Int’l Forging Industry Exhibition

In the week ending on November 24, 2018, domestic raw steel production was 1,906,000 net tons while the capability utilization rate was 81.3 percent. Production was 1,708,000 net tons in the week ending November 24, 2017 while the capability utilization then was 73.3 percent. The current week production represents a 11.6 percent increase from the same period in the previous year. Production for the week ending November 24, 2018 is down 0.9 percent from the previous week ending November 17, 2018 when production was 1,924,000 net tons and the rate of capability utilization was 82.1 percent.
Adjusted year-to-date production through November 24, 2018 was 85,639,000 net tons, at a capability utilization rate of 78.1 percent. That is up 5.6 percent from the 81,077,000 net tons during the same period last year, when the capability utilization rate was 74.2 percent.
