The European Commission has announced the initiation of an anti-subsidy investigation concerning imports of aluminium converter foil, originating in the People’s Republic of China. Product under investigation is Aluminium converter foil of a thickness of less than 0.021 mm which are not backed, not further worked than rolled, in rolls of a width not exceeding 650 mm and of a weight exceeding 10 kg. This investigation could result in countervailing duty being imposed in the future. The product is also subject to anti-dumping investigation which began on 22.10.2020.
