Generation Growth Capital Inc., a Milwaukee-based private equity firm, recently announced that it acquired Atlantic Precision Inc. (API). API, along with Clinkenbeard & Associates Inc., M2M Machining Inc., Mica Tool & Manufacturing LLC, and Tri Aerospace LLC., form the Model 2 Machine (M2M) Group.
The firm established the M2M Group in 2011 to provide a broad range of services to assist OEM customers with the transition of parts and products from research and development to full production.
"We''re excited about another outstanding company joining the M2M Group," said Steve Helfer, General Manager, Clinkenbeard, "The addition of API will allow us to expand our capacity and our offerings in 5-axis machining and additive manufacturing technologies."
Chuck Madore, CEO, M2M added, “The acquisition of API really solidifies our capabilities in the aerospace industry. The addition of direct metal laser sintering (DMLS), multi-axis wire EDM and additional 5-axis machining capacity rounds out the current offerings at Clinkenbeard and Tri Aerospace. Additionally, API brings the next level of manufacturing processing and excellence to the group with its complex fabrications, assembly, and instrumentation capabilities. All three companies have already begun to work in concert and we are quite excited to drive the Model 2 Machine Group strategy forward.”
